i dream patiently

This is a funny little polaroid. Only a couple more days and you will see some new stuff on the blog. Hopefully I can talk to someone at Polaroid Corp and they can push me in the right direction. Or maybe there is someone with boxes and boxes of Sx-70 just sitting in their fridge and they are looking to get rid of it.......Why not give it to me I'll put it to good use!

i dream patiently........

Story of Esther

Guys sorry I have been gone for a while. I'll post some more before the week is out. Got some good news. A lady that collects my work wants to buy 4 more of my Cuba/mexico pictures. On top of that she is also buying my Bogart and Bacall Polaroid Collages. That is really good news. I have starting working on my next show which will be in Sept. I will send postcards to all my friends very soon. Keep checking your mailbox

I think in AUG, I'm going to give the Polaroids a break and post some of the images from Cuba/mexico, Its a good time to break away from it, while I'm working on some new material. Well good times to come...going to see my first baseball game of the year. Should be fun boys, can't wait for Monday!!!!!!

may peace find you all......

Love Letters From A Women

I was talking to this girl today..a very cool girl I might add, she was telling me she sends out letters/postcards every week to her mother and a couple of her friends. I thought this was very interesting and weird. I was like you know we have this new thing called EMAIL. She said, "Yeah I know but there is nothing like getting a hand written letter in the mail." She is right, I can't remember when the last time I got something other than JUNK MAIL, OR BILLS in the mail. Our day and age is so built on speed. We have to have NOW, and if you don't get it NOW its OLD news. I mean come on my last girlfriend broke up with me through email....That should tell you a lot about today's age. Its sad we don't take the time and effort to write letters anymore. Letters, a thing of the past....its funny why does postage keep going up???

So if you want to send me a letter make it out to RapidView.Blogspot.Com, click on the comment and leave me a letter.......

Return to the Beginning

For sometime I haven't felt like doing anything art wise since good old Mayfaire but coming out of my sleep, I realize I have to get my butt moving for my next show or there will be no show. Its time to get going again! Wake up the cows, jump back on the saddle,, yeahhhhhhoooooo heree we gooo... I must return to the beginning somehow and find the motivation to get the work done. I hope it will come back. I don't want to turn into a cookie cutting machine. The place has a lot of walls to fill and I'm only 5 foot 7................

I would like to welcome two close friends of mine to the world of blogging. So glad you guys are in cyber land with us.

Supreme Power

may you have a safe 4th of July, and may God continue to BLESS America...the home of the FREE...LAND of the BRAVE. May we use our power for the good of the world and mankind and may we not forget the principles use by our founding fathers to form this great nation called the United States...

Human on Display

The words from this polaroid were taken from Auguries of Innocence; a poem by William Blake. It is far to long to post the entire poem, but I thought it would be cool to post the last couple of verses of that great poem by William Blake.......

Every night and every morn
Some to misery are born,
Every morn and every night
Some are born to sweet delight.

Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to endless night.

We are led to believe a lie
When we see not thro' the eye,
Which was born in a night to perish in a night,
When the soul slept in beams of light.

God appears, and God is light,
To those poor souls who dwell in night;
But does a human form display
To those who dwell in realms of day.

Letter

This actor played Red Blow (What a great last name!) in the baseball movie The Natural. He ended up shooting himself with a shotgun, killing himself before the cancer killed him. I have always wondered if he left a letter behind......
