This one was finished for the new show coming up in less than two weeks. Let me know your thoughts... its a little different from the rest of the collages.
as with most things, i interpret it two ways, leaving behind a sad heritage to start fresh, or being saddened that you couldn't leave behind a better heritage for those coming behind. my first impression was that it was an immigration statement. the words remind me of fencing across the field but i'm not sure if we're looking forward, or backward, through that fence. regardless, i think this is a powerful piece.
I wish I could get more people to leave comments but, i'm thankful for the few people that check this blog. Kris thanks for your insight on this piece. I'm still not sure about it.
